THANK YOU, BRIAN HALLBERG!

by Pete Richmire

TACOMA, WA. –  The Tacoma Stars would like to thank and offer best wishes to an integral member of the front office team who has stepped down to pursue other endeavors. Brian Hallberg, whose official title of Community Relationship Builder just touched the surface of what he actually did for the Stars, joined the club as a volunteer to run social media for the team in 2020.

Over the next few years, he expanded that role tremendously and carried out his duties exemplarily. Players and fans will still see Brian and his family at the accesso ShoWare Center as he remains a Season Ticket Holder, another title he has held for a while.

Stars General Manager Nick Perera welcomed Brian to the team in 2020 and said, “Brian approached me years ago about coming aboard the Stars, to help our club out, as a loyal Stars fan. From Brian managing our social media team to hearing him behind us on game-day warmups giving a breakdown to our youngest fans of who each player is and their background, he has always been the biggest supporter of this club and an invaluable member of our operations team. I wish Brian nothing but the best in his new venture, thank him for his contributions to the growth of our organization, and look forward to seeing him on December 9th at Showare.”

Alex Megson, who worked closely with Brian running Tacoma Stars Youth Clinics also pointed out that, "Brian Hallberg is a Tacoma Star through and through and will be sorely missed. Brian was passionate and exceptional about improving family experiences at Tacoma Star events, camps, and clinics, and giving back to our community. Brian's family was also very involved with the Stars and were a joy to be around. Thank you, Brian!"

Best wishes Brian and remember, once a Star, always a Star!
