Nortac Fundraiser Update

Last month the Tacoma Stars had the opportunity to participate in NorTac Soccer’s 1st Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser. 30 golf teams participated which included four Stars players. Alex Megson, Jeff Bader, Nate Ford and Steve Mohn played in the golf scramble.

Participant and Tacoma Stars player Alex Megson said "The NorTac Soccer Club Golf outing fundraiser was a huge success and a blast! As soon as the event was announced I brought it to the attention of Stars owner Lane Smith who already had it on his radar and was eager to help out. The Tacoma Stars and Nortac Soccer Club have built a strong relationship over the last few years and have partnered numerous times running clinics and events to help develop Tacoma's soccer community. Big round of applause for Trish Mathias and Dave O'Neill and their team.”

The event was to help continue to keep costs low for players and families, ensuring more kids have access to youth soccer. Funds raised contribute to field rentals, referees, scholarships, coach education, yearly CPR and First Aid training, team equipment and more!
