WELCOME TO THE STARS MIKE SCHARF

TACOMA, WA. – The Tacoma Stars have added additional depth to their defense by announcing the signing of Missouri S&T graduate Mike Scharf. As per Major Arena Soccer League and team policy, terms of the agreement were not announced. 

In his final collegiate season, Scharf played in every Missouri S&T match on a defense which posted six shutouts and finished their Division II campaign ranked number 16. The Wildwood, MO. Native has spent the past two seasons on the pitch for the Kitsap Pumas.

About the signing of Scharf, head coach Darren Sawatzky had this to say. “The MASL is growing and the need for new young American players is paramount to league long term success. Mike is a very good defender with good feet and a good mind. He fits right into the family here and will hit the ground running.”
