TACOMA, Wash. -- The Tacoma Stars (7-5) head south for a divisional match against the Dallas Sidekicks (7-5) this Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Allen Event Center.

The Stars and Sidekicks squared off twice in Tacoma earlier this season, splitting the weekend doubleheader. Stars goalkeeper Danny Waltman combined for 24 saves and defender Adam West ripped off a pair of goals in the club’s two previous meetings.

Dallas is led by midfielder Cameron Brown, who has recorded a team-best 21 points this season. Brown’s 13 goals are tied for the team lead with forward Arthur Ivo, while defender Cody Ellis has added 11 scores of his own. Sidekicks goalkeeper Juan Gamboa’s 5.25 goals against average is the fifth best mark in the league.

Since dropping their first four games of the season, Dallas has won seven of their last eight matches to surge into third place in the Pacific Division.

Tacoma currently sports four separate players with double-digit point totals, led by forward Derek Johnson with 14 (seven goals, seven assists). Waltman has spent over 720 minutes in goal for Tacoma, notching 157 saves on 221 shots along the way.

The Friday night match is scheduled to kick off at 5:35 p.m. PT. Live stats can be found at www.maslsoccer.com, while a live webcast can be found at www.golivesportscast.com.
