TACOMA, Wash. -- The Tacoma Stars (4-1) host the Dallas Sidekicks (0-3) for a pair of matches this weekend on Friday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 6 at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.

Friday night’s match will be the first between the two clubs since the 1992 Major Indoor Soccer League season. Tacoma and Dallas met for the MISL championship series in 1987, which Dallas won 4-3.

Tacoma moved out of the win column for the first time this season when the club lost at home to Soles De Sonora 6-4 on Friday, Nov. 20. Midfielder Jamael Cox led the Stars in the loss with a pair of goals, giving him four this season - he added an assist for a total of three points against Sonora.

Stars goalkeeper Danny Waltman ranks in the top five in the MASL in goals against average (second, 3.40), minutes (fourth, 300:00), and save percentage (fifth, .773).

The Sidekicks are led this season by defender Cody Ellis, who has a team-leading four goals on 14 shots. Through three matches, the Dallas offense has managed five goals per game. Goalkeeper Juan Gamboa has been in the Dallas goal for over 177 minutes this season, recording 73 saves on 94 shots for a .777 save percentage.
