ALLEN, TX. – As the 2022-23 MASL regular season heads into the final stretch and the top team in each conference has the possibility of clinching a playoff spot this weekend, the Tacoma Stars (6-7-1) find themselves four points behind the Monterrey Flash for the fifth and final Western Conference playoff spot with two games in hand and ten left to play.

Tacoma will begin their stretch run tomorrow night in Allen, Texas against a Dallas Sidekicks (0-13-2) team still searching for their first win of the season. The Stars will finish the weekend with a game Saturday night in Mesquite against the Outlaws (10-4-2).

Tomorrow will be the first of three meetings this season between the Stars and Sidekicks. The teams will compete in a home-and-home weekend series beginning in Kent on Friday, March 24, and finishing in Texas on Sunday, March 26.

For the all-time series, the Stars hold a 7-5 advantage, which includes a 4-3 record in the Lone Star State. The Stars’ last win at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center was a 5-4 decision on February 15, 2020.

After this weekend in Texas, Tacoma will head south of the border for a pair of games in Chihuahua and Monterrey to wrap up their five-game road swing.

The Stars will finally return home on Saturday, March 18 for Retro/Alumni Night at the accesso ShoWare Center when the Outlaws pay a visit for a weekend doubleheader. Game time on the 18th is 7:05 pm. The same teams square off the very next day with a 5:05 pm start.
