STARS RESERVES HOST TITLE MATCH SATURDAY NIGHT

by Cory Howerton

Tacoma, WA -Since the inception of the Western Indoor Soccer League, both the Tacoma Stars Reserves and Bellingham have played in the final, and they are the only two champions the league has ever known.

That continues this Saturday night at the Tacoma Soccer Center where for the third time in three consecutive seasons, the Stars and the Hammers will do battle for the WISL crown.

The Tacoma Stars Reserves are riding a 23 game unbeaten streak (22-0-1) over the last two years, and defeated Bellingham in the Title game last year at the Tacoma Soccer Center 7-5.  Tacoma's last loss was the 2017-18 WISL championship game, falling to the Hammers, 6-5.

This will mark the third consecutive finals match-up between these two squads, with each team taking home the WISL championship trophy once.

The WISL championship final rubber match will kick off at 6:30 on Saturday night at the Tacoma Soccer Center.
