STARS RE-SIGN AUBURN NATIVE ADRIAN CORREA

by Pete Richmire

TACOMA, WA. – Auburn native and Tacoma Community College alum, midfielder Adrian Correa has been re-signed by the Tacoma Stars as announced today. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Correa will kick off his third season with the Stars when the season gets underway. He has appeared in nine games and has a pair of goals and an assist to his credit.

He notched his first MASL point by picking up an assist in Tacoma’s 6-4 loss in Dallas on January 5, 2021. His first goal was on January 22 when he converted an assist from Nick Perera into a powerplay goal in Kansas City during a 6-5 win. Coincidentally, his second goal was also in Kansas City during a 6-5 Tacoma win, but this one was the game-winner with 1:16 left to play.

Correa advanced through the Tacoma Stars Reserves on his way to the MASL club, a path noted by Stars owner Lane Smith. “Adrian is an athletic, hardworking, and quick player. He is always causing his opponents challenges, both on offense and defense. He is a great local player that has progressed through our reserve team” Smith said.
