STARS LOOK TO SNAP SONORA STREAK SATURDAY

Tacoma, WA – The Tacoma Stars (7-8) finish their MASL Southwest division road trip Saturday January 27 when they face Soles de Sonora (8-6) in Hermosillo, Mexico. Sonora will be playing their second game in two nights as they play the Fury in Ontario before the Stars pay a visit.

As of now, Sonora would be in the conversation when talking about the hottest team in the MASL. They are on a six-game win streak and have scored at least 11 goals in every game during that stretch. To find Sonora’s last loss, go back to their second game at Accesso ShoWare Center this season when the Stars beat them 4-3 on December 17, 2017.

Tacoma has been heating up as late as well, coming into Saturday’s game with a 5-2 record in their last seven games. Their only two losses came at the hands of teams currently in first place in their divisions.

Given the intensity of these team’s first two games and the level of play shown by both squads, this will be a do not miss match. The MASL has named it the Game of the Week for week 14.

To make this game even better for Stars fans, everyone is invited to the Tacoma Soccer Center for a viewing party vs Sonora on TV as the Stars Reserves take on Bellingham United on the pitch. Tacoma Stars season ticket holders will save 50% on the $10 ticket.

The Stars will host El Paso Friday February 2 at 7:35 as they begin a stretch of four out of their final six matches at home.
