TACOMA, WA. – The Tacoma Stars (7-9) and the El Paso Coyotes (3-12) will complete their season series      tonight in El Paso’s only trip to the accesso ShoWare Center of the 2018-19 MASL regular season. The two teams have split the pair of games already played in Texas with the Coyotes winning 9-7 on January 4 and the Stars coming out on top on February 1 in a 6-5 final.

The Coyotes enter the match on a six-game losing streak with their last win coming on      January 25 against Turlock. The Stars dropped their last match by a 5-4 final in overtime against Dallas last Sunday at the accesso ShoWare Center. 

El Paso brings a -42 goal differential with them tonight and are led offensively by Hugo Puentes and his 35 points (22G-13A). He sits 19 points ahead of the Coyotes second leading scorer, Diego Salas with 16 points (7G-9A). Alex Caceres (12) and Jose Moreno (11) also are among team leaders in scoring.

For Tacoma, it is MASL leading scorer Nick Perera who sets the pace with 47 points (20G27A). Philip Lund and Mike Ramos each have 19 total points for the Stars and have 10+ goals on the season.  Pablo Da Silva (14) and Joey Gjertsen (13) are the other Stars with doubledigit scoring this season. 

In goal for Tacoma, Sanalado looks likely to make his sixth start of the season and is 2-2 with one overtime loss this season. His 5.49 goals against average and .634 save percentage leads the team in those categories. 

Tacoma will honor Stars legend Preki tonight during halftime and a limited edition bobblehead will be available to fans who purchase group tickets or a 6-game ticket plan.
