STARS BATTLE WEST SEATTLE ON THE ROAD THIS SUNDAY
TACOMA, WA. – The Tacoma Stars (1-3-2) will pay a visit to Southwest Athletic Complex – Nino Cantu Memorial Stadium this Sunday to face West Seattle Junction FC (0-4-2) at 2 pm. The teams last met on May 17, 2025, at Bellarmine Memorial Stadium with the Stars edging out West Seattle by a 3-2 score. Cale Spence, Fellipe Souza, and Yuta Toya recorded goals for Tacoma in the win.
The Stars hit a skid after that win, but head coach Nick Perera sees Sunday as an opportunity to change the team’s direction.
He said, “The Stars have a huge week ahead of us starting with Sunday’s match. With four games in eight days, it’s going to be a chance for us to make a push up the table and right some of last week’s wrongs.”
Following Sunday’s match at West Seattle, the Stars will return to Bellarmine Memorial Stadium for a 4 pm match on Tuesday against Ballard FC. The Tacoma Galaxy will host Salmon Bay FC after that game at 7 pm for their home finale.
The June 24th home date is Club Night, and all youth clubs are welcome to attend and participate in the activities. Youth tickets are only $5 if they wear their uniforms. There will be opportunities for teams to get involved during both games.
General admission tickets for the doubleheader are $15 in advance at www.tacomastars.com or $20 at the ticket booth on Game Day.
Bellarmine Memorial Stadium is located at 2300 S. Washington St. in Tacoma.
