STARS AND GALAXY BOTH PICK UP 4-1 WINS FRIDAY NIGHT

Both the USL League Two Tacoma Stars and USL W League Tacoma Galaxy notched their first wins of the season on Friday night, and both by 4-1 final scores.

The Galaxy traveled south to face Capital FC Atletica for their second road game to start the 2024 season. Kayden Perigo and Sinead Duffy each picked up a pair of goals to help Tacoma cruise to the win.

On the men's side for the Stars, it was Titus Washington who scored two goals after entering the game at halftime for Tacoma. Orlando Erazo and Tyler John each added a goal for the Stars. For John, it was his second goal of the season. Levi Bieber went the distance in goal to claim his first win of the season.

Both teams are back in action on Sunday with the Stars hitting the road for the first time this season. They will take on Capital FC Atletico (0-0-1) in Oregon.

The Galaxy will open their home schedule at 2 pm at Bellarmine Memorial Field against United PDX (1-0-0). There is a FREE youth clinic at 12:15 and parents can register their players aged 7-14 here - www.tacomastars.com/game-day-clinics
