SIX GAME ROAD TRIP CONCLUDES TODAY IN DALLAS

The Tacoma Stars (3-5) conclude their longest stretch of road games tonight at the Allen Event Center when they face the Dallas Sidekicks (1-7). 

This is the second match of the weekend for both squads following Dallas’ trip to Mesquite on Friday (a 7-1 loss) followed by Tacoma’s 8-5 win over Outlaws last night. 

 Dallas is 1-3 at home this season with their lone victory coming on December 22 against Kansas City. The Sidekicks are led in scoring by Freddy Moojen (5G-1A) and Cameron Brown (5G-0A). Arthur Ivo (3G-1A) and Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade (3G1A) round out Dallas’ leading scorers. 

The goalkeeper matchup features Juan Gamboa in net for Dallas and Danny Waltman backing the Stars defense. Gamboa brings a 1-5 record, 6.04 goals against average, and .694 save percentage into the meeting. Waltman is 3-5 with a 6.51 goals against and .658 save percentage.  

Nick Perera tops the Stars in scoring with 21 points (12G-9A). His nine assists also leads the team in that category. Completing Tacoma’s top three scorers are Mike Ramos (9G-4A) and Alex Caceres (5G-6A).  Dallas and Tacoma will wrap up their season series on February 15 when the Stars make their second trip to the Allen Event Center. Tacoma won two out of three meetings last season including a 7-4 decision in their only visit to Dallas.
