NICK PERERA NAMED TO MASL TEAM OF THE WEEK

TACOMA, WA. – Tacoma Stars forward Nick Perera has been named to the Major Arena Soccer League’s Team of the Week following his seven-point performance in Opening Night’s 12-2 win over the Turlock Express.

Perera picked up his first point of the season just 46 seconds in to the game by assisting on a Philip Lund goal. Later in the first he would also assist on James Riley’s first career MASL goal. He added a third assist in the second quarter before picking up his first goal with 6:39 left to go in the opening half. His fourth assist of the game came on a Joey Gjertsen score with seven seconds remaining in the 2^nd.

Perera added two unassisted goals in the 4^th quarter to complete his hat-trick and seven-point game.
