TACOMA, Wash. -- Tacoma Stars defender Evan McNeley and midfielder Mike Ramos have been selected to play for the US Men’s National Indoor Soccer Team in the club’s match against Team Mexico on September 24 in Hermosillo, Mexico.

“I am extremely excited to represent such a great nation and play the beautiful game that I love,” McNeley said. “Its a fantastic jump-start for the Stars season to play this game and get a feel for how our first game is going to go. Thank you to the national team staff and Darren Sawatzky for letting both Mike and I be involved.”

“It is a great honor to play for and represent the nation I was born and raised in,” Ramos said. “With this opportunity, dreams and aspirations I have held since I was a child have been met. I want to thank the USA National Team staff as well as Darren Sawatzky for giving Evan and I this opportunity to show our craft on such a stage.”

The Stars kick off the 2016-17 season at home on Saturday, Oct. 29 with a matchup against Soles De Sonora at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.
