CORY KEITZ SET TO RETURN TO TACOMA STARS

by Pete Richmire

TACOMA, WA. – The Tacoma Stars have announced Cory Keitz will return for his fourth season on the pitch during the 2018-19 Major Arena Soccer League campaign. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed as per team and league policies. Keitz, who hails from Armada, MI has notched 15 points (7G-8A) in 37 career games for the Stars. He picked up an assist in last year’s playoff series against San Diego. He spent four seasons with Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and was a part of the 2014 Kitsap Pumas in the PDL Championship game.

Darren Sawatzky, Head Coach and General Manager is confident in what Keitz brings to the Stars defense. “As a coach, when I think of defenders in the MASL, I want intelligent players with the ability to build the game and bring the competitive nature needed to win defensive match ups. Cory brings these qualities as well as understanding what the role is on the day. We are happy to have him on paper again for this season.”

The Stars kick-off the season on Saturday December 1 against the Turlock Express.
