Tacoma, WA. – Tacoma Stars defender Alex Caceres received his third honor of the season today as he was named to the Week 15 MASL Team of the Week. The Medellin Colombia native posted a pair of two-point performances and several key defensive plays against the Eastern Conference leading Florida Tropics.

The Stars split the series with Florida and Caceres notched a goal and assist in each match. His goal in Thursday’s 8-7 loss was an unassisted power play goal which put Tacoma up 6-5 with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. He currently leads the Stars in power play goals with five on the season.

Caceres is third in scoring for Tacoma this season with 10 goals and 12 assists, good for 22 points in 18 games played. He was also named to the MASL Team of the Week for Weeks three and eight..

The Stars are on the road next week for a pair of games in California. First up is a battle in Ontario against the Fury on Saturday at 7:05 pm. The team continues south to face San Diego at 5:05 on Sunday. You can catch all the action live on
