ALAIN MATINGOU NAMED TO MASL TEAM OF THE WEEK

Tacoma, WA- Tacoma Stars defenseman Alain Matingou has been named to the MASL Team of the Week for Week 11. Matingou picked up a goal and two assists against the Ontario Fury on January 5 at the Accesso ShoWare Center in Kent. 

Stars Head Coach Darren Sawatzky said “Alain has been a welcomed addition this year and he grows within the group with each game. We congratulate him on the recognition and look forward to him playing well for the rest of the season.” 

Matingou has appeared in eight games for Tacoma this season and has four points while playing solid defense. 

Matingou is the second Star to be named to an MASL Team of the Week, joining Alex Megson who was honored in week one.
